It’s always a privilege to photograph people in special context. This past February I was fortunate to be part of an outreach program providing school supplies for the Narewa Village Pre-School Education Center. Narewa Village is a small village near the town of Nadi on the island of Viti Levu in Fiji. I was speaking with the school manager, Sam, and he told me the government only provides $50 (US) per student per year for supplies and that they have to work very hard to even receive that. If you’re interested in donating to the school, please contact Sam at narewavillage@gmail.com for more information.
